Morning Routine:  Pledge, Patriotic Song, News, Weather, Sports, Prayer

 

Homework:  Monday through Thursday. Study (review) for tests daily.  Homework written in their planners.  If Homework is not turned in on time, 10 points are deducted for each day it is late (excluding illness).

 

Homeroom Subjects:   Language, Spelling, Vocabulary, Poem Contributions, History, Writing, and Geography

 

Poems: Approximately every other assembly.  Poems are written in Poem spiral.

 

Book Reports:  One book report per quarter will be completed in class.  The first book report on The Trumpet Of The Swan will be written together in class.

 

Tests: Sign and return tests every week for binder.

Friday – Spelling and one other Homeroom test

History, Poem, Vocabulary, and Language test days will vary.

 

Handbook: See Carden website.

• Updated policies concerning uniform, hair, nails, etc.

• Lunches, homework and PE uniform should come in the morning with student (students are not allowed to call home for forgotten materials)

• Playdates  - need note from both families.

• Birthdays– celebrated at recess. Half birthday may be celebrated.

• Study Hall – ends at 4:00

• Play Program – ends at 5:30

• Academic Support (Homeroom)  - 3:00 – 3:30
